4-Year-Old Kindergarten
Baraboo 4K is focused on developmentally appropriate learning. Whole group, small group, and play-based experiences supporting motor development. social-emotional skills, emergent literacy, early math, and science are provided throughout the week. Literacy experiences focus on phonological awareness, oral language, vocabulary, print concepts, letter sound awareness knowledge, and comprehension. Math focuses on early numeracy skills including concepts of value, counting, and grouping.
Kindergarten - 5th Grade
English Language Arts - Wit & Wisdom is our knowledge-building curricular resource focusing on vocabulary, sentences, reasoning, and mental modeling. Sonday is our word recognition curricular resource focusing on sounds, letters, and words.
Math - Bridges is our Math curricular resource that helps students gain a deep understanding of concepts, proficiency with key skills, and the ability to solve complex problems. The curriculum is composed of three distinct but integrated components: Problems & Investigations, Work Places, and Number Corner.
Science - Our Science curricular resource has been developed locally and is aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards. It focuses on Science and engineering concepts, and disciplinary core ideas that have broad importance within or across multiple science or engineering disciplines.
Social Studies - Our Social Studies curricular resource has been developed locally and is aligned with the Wisconsin State Standards. It focuses on building knowledge about their community, nation, and world; applying inquiry processes; and employing skills of data collection and analysis, collaboration, decision-making, and problem-solving.
6th-8th Grade
English Language Arts - CommonLit 360 is a grade-level curriculum, with lessons and materials that allow teachers to differentiate to meet the needs of all students. Each unit has explicit vocabulary instruction, scaffolded writing lessons, supplemental texts, and accessibility tools like Read Aloud, Translation, and digital annotation.
Math - College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM) is a standards-based curricular resource focusing on collaborative problem-solving.
Science - Investigating and Questioning our World through Science and Technology (IQWST) from Activate Learning aligns with Next Generation Science Standards and offers phenomenon-driven 3-dimensional learning.
Social Studies - Houghton, Mifflin, Harcourt (HMH) materials foster inquiry, application, reflection, and communication. Students analyze documents and complete writing tasks to demonstrate understanding.
9th-12th Grade
