The School District of Baraboo Board of Education met in a special session on Thursday, February 13, 2025, to determine an interim Superintendent and to release a timeline for the hiring of a Superintendent whose contract will begin July 1, 2025.
Stephen Considine, currently serving as the Baraboo High School Principal, will assume Interim Superintendent duties for the rest of this school year.
The timeline for a Superintendent Search Process is as follows:
March 7, 2025: All Application Materials Due.
Week of March 10, 2025: The Ad Hoc Committee of the Board of Education reviews all applications.
Week of March 17, 2025: The Ad Hoc Committee of the Board of Education conducts the first round of interviews.
Week of March 24, 2025: The Board conducts a Special Board meeting to approve the final candidates and release their names.
Week of March 31, 2025: “Day-in-the-District” - each candidate will tour the community, meet with administration, staff, and community. The schedule, dates, and locations will be announced before the event.
Week of April 7, 2025: The Board conducts final interviews and reviews staff and community feedback.
April 14, 2025: The Superintendent’s hiring is approved and announced.
July 1, 2025: Superintendent contract formally begins.
